The United Way's annual fall campaign is our organization's most visible time of the year. The campaign generally begins in September with a kickoff luncheon and ends in early November with a Victory Celebration.

The Campaign Chairperson and two vice-chairpersons are responsible for the success of the campaign. The Chairperson recruits a number of division chairpersons. By the time this pyramid is complete, several hundred people are involved with the campaign.

Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company has traditionally been the backbone of the campaign. For Campaign 2005, Goodyear corporate and employee pledges accounted for more than 15 percent of the total campaign.

The LIVE UNITED Campaign promotes Advancing the Common Good by focusing on education, financial stability, and health. These are the building blocks for a good life - a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement and good health.
