Success By 6 is a children's initiative to discover ways to ensure all children are prepared and ready to succeed as they enter first grade.

What are we doing? Success By 6 offers the following programs in our community:

Better Beginnings - Volunteers are recruited to read, rock, sing, and play with children in local daycares. We model behavior to emphasize early brain development in children spending 8-12 hours a day in a childcare center.

Boost America - We offer free booster seats to children 40-80 pounds who qualify. Click on this link to find information regarding installing car seats: http://stokes.chop.edu/programs/carseat/

Brain Train - We work with pregnant teens in the Etowah County, Attalla City and Gadsden City school systems to show them games and activities that will help stimulate brain development in children birth to 3 years old.

Freebie Reads - Books are given to children age birth to 6 years.

H.O.M.E. - Helping Our Mothers Excel - is an in-home visitation program to new mothers provided through a contract with the Family Success Center.
